The story

I build backends and the AI that runs on them. I spent four years at Systhink Technologies, moving from trainee to analyst across three data platforms: survey analytics, materials selection and a manufacturing cost engine.

I am now finishing an MSc in Applied AI at the University of Warwick, building LLM applications that are evaluated, not just demoed: retrieval that lifted Recall@8 from 71% to 89%, and an agent that reached 91% accuracy on 115 labelled photos.

Selected projects

UK Immigration Rules RAG Assistant

FastAPI · PostgreSQL (pgvector) · Claude API · Voyage AI · Langfuse · Next.js

  • Deployed a full-stack assistant that answers UK visa questions and cites the exact rule paragraph behind each answer.
  • A daily GOV.UK check re-indexes only the changed sections, tagged with their Statement of Changes. The index covers 250+ documents and 14k chunks, with hybrid vector and keyword search plus reranking.
  • Evaluated on 150 hand-labelled questions in Langfuse. 41% of misses came from rules that cross-reference other paragraphs; pulling linked rules into context fixed them.

Waste-Sorting Agent

LangGraph · MCP (FastMCP) · Amazon Bedrock AgentCore · LangSmith

  • Built a multimodal agent (Claude on Bedrock) that identifies waste from a photo and returns cited disposal instructions for any UK postcode.
  • Runs 2 MCP servers on AgentCore with strict input schemas. LangChain middleware handles tool retries, call limits and human approval before bulky-waste requests.
  • Evaluated on 115 labelled photos in LangSmith. 48% of failures were misidentified materials; returning the top 3 candidates with a clarifying question fixed them.

Off the clock

Climbing, running and badminton keep pushing me outside my comfort zone and help me break through my mental limits.

Climbing and trekking

Climbing and trekking across different terrains gave me solace during a career break.

  1. 2025

    Started climbing actively.

  2. May 2025 to Aug 2025

Explored the Kinnaur region of Himachal Pradesh and trekked the Pin Bhaba Valley.

Self-oriented and philosophical books on how to live and what deserves attention.

Volunteering

Nature Conservation Volunteer

Warwick Volunteers (Friends of Canley Green Spaces)

Jan 2026 to present · Environment

Conserving green spaces in and around Canley and the Warwick campus with a local conservation group: canoe-based litter picking on the waterways, woodland cleanups, tree care, bramble bashing and tree planting.
